“Making music come alive”
Children all over Manchester are enjoying Boom Bash Wiggle: a unique music program developed and delivered by professional musicians.
Our aim is to ignite children’s passion and love for music. Our program draws upon over 15 years of teaching and professional playing experience. We believe every child can benefit from engaging with music.
We are the foundation for a lifetime of joy experienced through music. We don’t use gimmicks. We think music speaks for itself.
Boom Bash Wiggle was founded by Leone Alexander a professional classical musician, music teacher, wife and mum to three lovely children.

Music has been the largest part of my life for over 30 years. I feel so lucky that my passion has become my career. I have over fifteen years of professional playing and teaching experience (every ounce of which I have put into Boom Bash Wiggle!). I have always loved music.
One of my earliest musical memories is asking my parents to put CFAX on the Television so I could dance around the living room to classical music! The 5 year old me was recording radio shows on my mums tape recorder and starring in many of my own productions at home (My poor family were forced to watch endless performances!). These humble beginnings formed the foundation for of a lifetime spent enjoying, playing and performing music.
I have enjoyed a rich and varied musical career. I moved from the South East to this wonderful city to study at the Royal Northern College of music. After graduating in 2004, I began working as a professional freelance French horn player with orchestras including English national ballet, the Halle, English National Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Stowe opera and Clonter opera company. I have worked as musician in residence in the Whitworth Art Gallery, The Star academy in Cheltenham, Manchester art gallery,Cheltenham music festival and NOWGEN.
As a teacher I worked for One Education music for ten years. I have taught thousands of children across the City. Delivering and developing curriculum, vocal, EYFS, SEND and specialist instrumental projects and teaching to young people from nursery to high school age.
I started Boom Bash wiggle because I want to revolutionise the way we teach music to young people. A lot of music in school and at pre school level is delivered by non musicians. As a mother I struggled to find pre school classes that my children could attend that offered a truly musical experience. In my long career as a teacher I have also seen the gradual decline in arts subjects from within the curriculum. The importance of operating a good music provision outside of the school day has become even greater. My wealth of playing and teaching experience has enabled me to write a unique music program that inspires and engages young people. I am passionate about bringing music to life for all children.
Most importantly I am a wife and mother to three amazing children. They are my inspiration, motivation and reason to smile.
